Netflix Announces Pacific Rim, Altered Carbon, 3 More Anime OriginalsAt a showcase event in Singapore on Thursday, Netflix announced five new original anime series and films from Asia, including 2 revolving around Pacific Rim and Modified Carbon.
The former comes in the heads of Craig Kyle (Thor: Ragnarok) and Greg Johnson (X-Men: Evolution), that will serve as co-showrunners, although the latter is a spin-off characteristic from Cowboy Bebop writer Dai Sato and Tsukasa Kondo.

The Pacific Rim anime show from Netflix will”extend upon the story of the first two live-action movies and follow two sisters — an idealistic teenaged boy and his na├»ve younger sister — who are made to pilot an abandoned Jaeger across a hostile landscape at a desperate attempt to find their missing parents”. Legendary Entertainment, which is behind the Pacific Rim movies, will produce the collection.

As for the Modified Carbon anime attribute, it will be set in precisely the exact same world as the live-action show that surfaced earlier this year and”will investigate new elements of the story mythology”. Cartoon studio Anima will handle the project. Meanwhile, the Altered Carbon year 2 is currently in production with Anthony Mackie (Avengers: Infinity War) in the lead character.

That leaves three other series: Cagaster of an Insect Sage, Yasuke, and Trese. The first is put in post-apocalyptic Japan in which a young couple is struggling to live in the Earth, the next is a first anime motivated by a samurai of African origin, with Lakeith Stanfield (Atlanta, Death Notice ) as one of the voice actors, although the third is based on a Philippine graphic novel with DC cartoon series veteran Jay Oliva as executive producer.

Here are the additional details:
