Redmi 4 Gets MIUI 10.3.1.0 Update in India, Brings Bug Fixes and Improvements: Reports

Redmi 4 users are now reporting Getting a new MIUI 10 update bringing a slew bug fixes and improvement.

The upgrade brings fixes in Preferences, Home Screen, telling color, lock screen, status bar, and telephone related troubles. Redmi 4 update is rolling out through OTA, so users might have to wait it out a bit ahead of the upgrade reaches on to them. The firmware version for this upgrade is MIUI 10.3.1.0. Sad to say, the most recent MIUI 10.3.1.0 update doesn’t update the security limitation. The Redmi 4 still runs on the outdated October 2018 security patch.

The changelog indicates that the upgrade fixes the status bar shortcut and floating telling appearance issue, and resolved the issue that caused delay in end calls. The upgrade also added the ability to limit launching of notification shade on the lock display, and SOS mode for the status bar.

Issue concerning the notification shade going black on the lock display when new notifications were obtained, was also fixed. The charging icon issue on the lock screen was fixed, and so was the telling badges displayed incorrectly about the WhatsApp icon dilemma.

The upgrade optimises battery percent format to the status bar, and mended a sync page issue. There was also a problem where the portable hotspot couldn’t be changed on when device name was set to maximum period, which has also been fixed.
