Twitter May Add an Edit Feature, CEO Jack Dorsey Says

“Maybe we present a 5-30 seconds delay in the sending of conversation and within that window, it is possible to edit since the matter with going longer than that is it takes that real time nature of the conversational flow from it,” 9To5Mac quoted Twitter chief executive officer (CEO) Jack Dorsey as saying at a podcast interview on Saturday.

On the site lacks the feature, Dorsey said the platform was constructed on the SMS format of text messaging.

“After you send a text, you can not take it backagain. When you send a tweet, it goes to the world instantaneously. You can not take it back.”

Dorsey first addressed the prospect of adding an edit feature for tweets in December 2016, based on the Twitterati’s suggestions.

Twitter was lately testing a brand new attribute on Android that places news stories at the top of the timeline to help users keep up with what’s going on around the world.
