Vivo Nex was launched in India on Thursday, in an event in New Delhi.
The Vivo Nex is the rebranded version of the Nex S, which is the top-end version in the Chinese company’s Nex-Series of smartphones established last month. There are several highlights of the smartphone, including its in-display fingerprint detector, its own pop-up selfie camera, as well as its top-end specifications which have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and 8GB of RAM. Vivo is also touting a new cooling system onto the smartphone that will help keep it cool during extended gaming sessions. At the start event, the business revealed the Vivo Nex price in India and its launch date in the country.
Vivo Nex cost in India, launch offers
The Vivo Nex price in India continues to be put in Rs. 44,990, and it’ll go on sale via Amazon India and the company site in July 21. Offline, it will also go available via pick partner stores and Vivo Stores. Pre-orders will begin today on Amazon India. Just a single variant – 8GB RAM/ 128GB storage – has been launched in India. Launch offers include Rs. 5,000 additional discount on exchange of a old smartphoneno-cost EMIs around 12 months, one-time free display replacement, cashback on HDFC credit and debit card purchases, and an assured buyback offer.
Vivo Nex specifications
The dual-SIM (Nano) Vivo Nex runs Funtouch OS 4.0, according to Android 8.1 Oreo. As we mentioned, the business has used a pop up selfie camera to the Vivo Nex, and its own purpose for the design decision was to increase the bezel-less temperament of the smartphone’s screen. It occupies an 8-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture, and Vivo is touting attributes like Portrait Bokeh, AR Decals, and Face Beauty.
On the back, the Vivo Nex includes a dual camera setup featuring a 12-megapixel main sensor using an f/1.8 aperture, 4-axis OIS, and dual-core tech for 24 million picture elements. The secondary camera comes with a 5-megapixel sensor using an f/2.4 aperture. The back camera set up is accompanied by an LED fill lighting with dual color temperature. Vivo is touting attributes like Portrait Bokeh, AR Decals, Slow Motion, and Backlight HDR for the back camera.

As we mentioned, Vivo has launched a single version of the Nex smartphone in India that sports 128GB of inbuilt storage. Notably, storage is not expandable via microSD card. The smartphone includes a camera, ambient light sensor, electronic compass, proximity sensor, and a digital gyroscope. It has measurements of 162x77x7.98mm, and weighs 199 g. It bears an in-display fingerprint detector.
